Overview of 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE-Class

The AMG GLE-class model has a square back and is expected to appeal to AMG traditional AMG drivers who enjoy the benefits of a higher-riding crossover. Meanwhile, the GLE coupe style is designed to compete with models like the BMW X6 M. Performance Assessment: 2021 GLE53 & GLE63 S

The 2021 GLE53 and GLE63 S are similar in many ways, but a key distinction between the two is power. They both have a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. Both models have gas engines that are supplemented by a 48-volt electrical system for that supercharge.

Now, the GLE53 features a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine which generates 429 horsepower, and the GLE63 S generates 603 horses with the twin-turbo V8. Both models feature exceptional capability, but the GLE63 S is certainly more powerful.

Sounding louder, feeling faster, and furiously crushing corners - the GLE63 S proves to be a powerhouse. Its slightly less powerful counterpart - the GLE53 is impressive in its own right.
